Product Distribution is one of the most important stages in a new product’s development. Product Distribution is that great stage where you finally get to make a profit from your idea. “Nothing we do in design really matters if our clients can’t get their products into the marketplace and start selling. It isn’t always about getting your products listed with mass retailers. Oftentimes, it can be easier and more beneficial to launch with Tier 2 distributors such as smaller regional players.” – James Chalmers, Vice President, Strategy, MAKO.
Opportunities such as the Toronto Gift and Home Market offer an opportunity for entrepreneurs to reach a wide range of potential distributors and consumers looking for those new products. The team at TUTSWVET has achieved just this through their recent launch.
Last week, we announced that TUTSWVET would be participating in this show, and it was no surprise that TUTSWVET was a hit with the Toronto Gift and Home Market attendees. One individual at the fair even asked the TUTSWVET team, “Did you win an award for this? No? Well, you should have. It doesn’t matter, we’ll just say that you did anyway.”
TUTSWVET’s non-traditional sales approach has now allowed them to grow their sales over 2400% in just over a week!
Originally only being sold in 2 stores before the show, they have now gained product distribution to 48 stores. This impressive growth will continue even more following the Alberta Gift and Home Market, which is happening from February 22 to February 25 at The Edmonton Expo. With this, TUTSWVET is on track to be in over 100 stores by the end of the month.
Helping clients such as TUTSWVET reach this level of success is our top priority at MAKO, and we are thrilled with the success TUTSWVET has gained thus far. Without this unique product distribution, TUTSWVET would have never had the chance to wow consumers the way they did with their amazing product.
The Benefits of Good Product Distribution
TUTSWVET’s product distribution has made them a true MAKO success story. They are a perfect example of how you can build a business without relying solely on big box retailers such as Walmart and Home Hardware. Although these retailers can help with product distribution, it is not the only way to reach a customer base.
If you are looking to explore your “what if idea,” let TUTSWVET be a guiding example. Stepping out of your comfort zone can produce wonderful results and lead to something extraordinary. MAKO Design + Invent will help you take their “what if” idea and turn it into a reality.
