Bruce Lee joined the team at MAKO, a product design company, back in 2016. He brought with him a wealth of experience and ability to create intricate and innovative designs through his senior design work at Bose and Peterbilt.
Bruce Lee’s background
Bruce studied at the College for Creative Studies specializing in automotive design. This later allowed him to excel at Peterbilt Motors for over five years. After college, Bruce went to Auburn University majoring in Industrial Design which prepared him for the rest of his career working for prestigious product design companies.
Bruce’s most stand-out strengths are his advanced visualization and CAD modeling skills. He’s created renderings for over 25 years for a variety of products which has allowed him to bring so much to the table at our product design company.
From Product Design Company to Teaching at Gemini School
Bruce has recently joined the faculty at the Gemini School, a visual arts school in Texas. Bruce is teaching a course in Industrial Design Fundamentals which introduces the student to industrial design concepts such as how things are made, exploring different ways of creating concepts, and how to quickly render objects to look like various materials. Recently his students held a showcase for a project that they had worked on which was reimagined a classic video game.
The MAKO team is thrilled that one of our talented designers is teaching the next generation of designers from his impressive years of experience in the field. We can’t wait to see this next generation working in a product design company like MAKO one day!
