MAKO Nominated For Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies

Each year Fast Company (FastCo) selects a handful of companies that are ranked as the world’s Most Innovative Companies of that year. This award honours leading enterprises and rising newcomers who exemplify the best in business and innovation.  

MAKO Design + Invent was nominated to be included on Fast Company’s upcoming Most Innovative Companies list for our impressive achievements as an invention design company innovating and shaking up the industry. To recap our year to date, we thought we’d share some of our innovation achievements with you.

Why Our Invention Design Company is Nominated For Best Innovations

1) We have perfected our unique and innovative business model: modular phases of work for end-to-end services. Starting with a concept to design and engineering to prototyping to manufacturing, we make all these phases available at accessible costs thanks to our in-house teams. We are now in the process of scaling our innovative model and taking our invention design company to the next level. Growing to a 25-person team, in 2018, across three international offices with plans to expand into other innovation hotbeds across the globe.

2) Our innovative business model is not theoretical, nor is it propped up by venture capital or even high-interest general bank loans. Our invention design company growth, to our largest size in 2018, over three international offices, is 100% organic.  

3) Innovation cannot exist in a vacuum. The building of community is critical to our business model. We sponsor the Mako Student Innovation Award at Ryerson University, Canada. We sit on the advisory board of Next 36 – Canada’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Award, the Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship, and the Blue and Yellow Society.

We also nurture partnerships with universities and colleges across North America to support the growth of the next generation of innovators.
