Spotlight on Pill Clok: Taking the Guesswork out of Medication

Product designer Fabián Vadillo is changing the game when it comes to medication use through his latest invention development that combines an alarm clock and a pill organizer.

In the United States, approximately 60% of people admit to forgetting to take their prescribed medication. It’s easy to get caught up in our day-to-day that we completely forget to take our medication, and given that medication is prescribed for a reason and can be ineffective if not taken according to the instructions, there has to be a solution to help us remember.

In this article, we’ll detail how the Pill Clok’s invention development has revolutionized elderly care. 

Invention Development: How the Pill Clok Works

Fabián is an Argentine designer who came up with the idea of a smart pillbox named Pill Clok. This gadget features a sleek and modern design and a 4×7 pill organizer to support four daily doses of medication. With each rounded pill compartment, you can configure it with the integrated joystick built into the device. The smart pillbox will then remind you to take pills at the time you set for every pill holder using the built-in speaker and backlit design.

Users can also use the snooze button to delay reminders and use the custom app to keep track of their medication stock in the box, reminding them to refill when needed. The Pill Clok has multiple models: a mini version that supports one dose per day and a portable one that fits in your palm with an integrated mechanical timer.
