At our Toronto Product Development Studio, MAKO Design, our team of talented and dedicated designers work very hard to come up with the most innovative and outstanding designs that both satisfy and go beyond our client’s expectations.
Each month, we look forward to a new invention by our clients to launch and debut within the product market to spotlight onto our blog. In this client spotlight, our Toronto product development studio is proud to introduce the ‘Keeki Bag’ invented by our client, Nancy Woods!
About the Keeki Bag
To some, baking bread is a craft and an integral part of their nutrition and life. Purchasing special loaves of bread to enjoy later, and waking up to having fresh bread is a tradition to some.
But while purchasing and baking bread may seem like a leisurely pastime, it’s important to make sure that the bread you invest your time and money in is always fresh and lasts the longest that it can.
As a home baker, Nancy understood the beauty and dedication that comes with baking bread, but a problem she constantly faced was learning to properly store her loaves so that they maintain their freshness to enjoy. Thus, the Keeki bag was created.
The Keeki bag is a plastic-free natural way to store your bread. The genius of the product lies in its lining of beeswax and linen interior. The bag features a wide opening and a closing drawstring for easy access and use.
This allows the bread to breathe, rather than being wound up in a plastic bag. The Keeki bag makes sure that your loaves don’t hold a lot of moisture in and does not encourage mold, but still keeps the bread from drying out.
Our Toronto Product Development Studio’s Work on the Keeki Bag
One of the greatest assets about working with a Toronto Product Development Studio, such as MAKO Design is that we are available to help you at any stage of your design or invention process.
In Nancy’s case, she approached MAKO Design with a prototype and concept design ready in hand! The idea of the Keeki Bag was a genius to us and was a simple, effective way to solve a common problem that many people face when purchasing bread.
Our industrial designer, Paul Davis, took on the project at our Toronto Product Development Studio to help Nancy with the packaging design and sourcing of the materials needed for her product to be ready for its market debut!
Since the release of her product, we have been astounded to see how amazingly successful her product has become and are proud of all her accomplishments that the Keeki Bag has achieved.
